PIT SENYOR!!

               Sinulog is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous baby Jesus, Senyor Santo Nino. It is celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January. Before the celebration the devotees attend a 9 day novena and a "walk with Jesus". It is about their strong faith in Senyor Santo Nino, that even under the heat of the sun they tend to attend the pass and parade. By the 3rd Sunday of January that's where everything changes, people where t-shirts like white t-shirts. others put paint all over your body, even your shirt without your consent. It is kind of common on many Cebuano even other nationalities come to Cebu to experience Sinulog.

                On the beautiful day, we went to my dad's old home which is in Capitol. We met our cousins, family friends, and other people i honestly don't know. Every year me and my family always go there, even on rainy days. It is just Sinulog when we get together with our friends. Just at the back of the house is Mango Avenue, we went there and there were street parties, colorful faces and the roads are too tight that even cars won't fit because of the amount of people.We slept there because the roads were full.  This year there were at least 30% lesser people than last year. That's good news because now we know that Sinulog is not to be doing parties, it is about praying.

                We need to make sure one thing we do was  created with good intentions. We need to remember what Sinulog is meant to be. Even if you completed the 9 day novena , if you don't have faith in him, the blessings and miracles won't be given to you. Some lost faith in Senyor Santo Nino because not everything they want was given to them. Everything's not easy, obstacles make you know and learn from your mistakes, and that's how Jesus will know you did your best so you deserved an award.

 BATIK PATTERN by Vanissa Patalinghug                                                  The word batik is thought to be derived from the word ' ambatik'  which translated means 'a cloth with little dots'. The suffix ' tik'  means little dot, drop, point or to make dots. Batik may also originate from the Javanese word ' tritik'  which describes a resist process for dying where the patterns are reserved on the textiles by tying and sewing areas prior to dying, similar to tie dye techniques. POLUSYON

ANO ANG POLUSYON?          May iba't ibang uri ng polusyon. Air pollution, water pollution, and land pollution. Ang polusyon ay nakaka apekto sa atin, hindi lang sa atin pati na sa mga hayop at mga halaman. Hindi man natin ito nakikita o nararamdaman ngayon ngunit unti-unti itong lumalala. Habang tumatagal ang panahon, nababawasan na ang pagkakataon na maiwasan natin ang paglala ng epekto ng polusyon.  Maraming dahilan kung bakit mayroong polusyon. Ang karaniwang sanhi ng air pollution ay nga Household combustion devices, motor vehicles, industrial facilities at forest fires. Ang sanhi naman ng water pollution, ay ang oil spill, Industrial Waste, Rubbish and Fecal water dumping, at maritime traffic. Ang mga sanhi naman ng land Deforestation, Mining, Landfills and waste, Urbanization at Excessive use of fertilizers at pesticides. Online classes

    PERCEIVED DIFFERENTLY       Everyone had different experiences with online classes, everyone handled it differently, everyone perceived it differently. As the new normal came into our lives, students had to face online classes as a new way of learning. However, how was online classes for students?       Online classes were great but it was hard for students as it was the time where everyone was still adjusting to the new normal. A new way of living and learning especially for students. Not everyone has the means to attend the online classes, which made it harder for students who are not financially stable, students who suffered from confusion  about the the new ways of learning, and isolation from everyone because when the new normal started everyone was isolated physically and mentally.       There are students who were confused at that time period.
