BATIK PATTERN by Vanissa Patalinghug                                                  The word batik is thought to be derived from the word ' ambatik'  which translated means 'a cloth with little dots'. The suffix ' tik'  means little dot, drop, point or to make dots. Batik may also originate from the Javanese word ' tritik'  which describes a resist process for dying where the patterns are reserved on the textiles by tying and sewing areas prior to dying, similar to tie dye techniques. Another Javanese phase for the mystical experience of making batik is “ mbatik manah ” which means “drawing a batik design on the heart”.                                     Here I am drawing a batik pattern on a paper.                                  Process                               1 . draw a margin (my margin is 1/2)                              2 .  give a space to the side 1 inch and from the bottom line mark it 2 inches.                                3 . Support LGBTQ by Vanissa Patalinghug                                                                                            Many people criticize others with different gender or sexuality, it has become a habit to society to treat those part of the LBGT community differently. They say there are only 2 genders, and we should love and be thankful for what God gave us. Even though they fight back, there are always too many enemies. They just want to be treated as a normal person not some “out of the world” person just because of their sexuality. They tend to keep their emotions, what they really feel, what they really want to be, because they are scared to go out to the world without being stared at, talked about. They pretend to be someone there not, they get hurt, they have feelings, they are people not aliens and still people don’t understand, they don’t get it, they still make them feel like they don’t belong.                                        They go protest, they fight f

“FOOD OF PARADISE” by: Ibn Amjed The Food of Paradise is a story about hope and faith towards our God. Mullah is the main character in this story, he is a teacher before he was tired and got a lower salary, he decided to go to the City of Baghdad wherein near the river, even though he was lazy, he always has a trust in Allah his God. This is a story about, a devoted man, Ibrahim that taught Islam to his Moslem students. Ibrahim is the main character of the story, He feels like no one appreciates him . He always asks his God “why do I have to suffer?” Like some of us do. And this is his story.  His work was thankless and ill-paid. Once, while sitting in the meditation, his hands folded in his lap, he thought of his sorry sake.” Why is it,” he asked himself, “that a holy man like me must toil so hard teaching a pack of blockheads, when others who have earned nothing through pious work, eat sumptuous every day? And without having to work?”.  Ibrahim left the seminary and walke
